Countdown to Ubuntu 8.10

Here I am, 5:30AM, awake and sitting at my computer waiting for the upgrade to Ubuntu 8.10. What is wrong with me.

Actually, it’s more likely that I’m awake because I slept from the time I got home after class–3:00PM–until about midnight.

My prediction is that Ubuntu 8.10 will be released roughly around the time it becomes midnight in Hawaii, where it is currently Wednesday, October 29th, 11:40PM. We’ll see!

I’m not even sure what I’m looking forward to, other than a nice general upgrade of things. Perhaps some new artwork. 3G Support isn’t exactly something I’ve been dying for in Ubuntu…

EDIT: I just drove to school and completely missed the initial release. I guess I’ll have to wait until tomorrow to upgrade my 8.04 box! My EEE stays at eeeXubuntu 7.10 until wireless support is safe in an upgrade. I don’t like headaches…
